FAQ
Yes! We are family friendly and understand that paying for activities for siblings can be a burden. We have a 10 percent discount for additional siblings for self pay and 3rd party provider registrations.
Probably, but not necessarily! It is recommended that each student purchase their own paddle and a ball so that they can practice the skills taught in class time during the week at home. Once you start pickleball, you are going to love it and you will want to play more and more. Practising is what will make you better and you will need your own paddle and ball to do this. There are recommendations for inexpensive paddles for beginners on the "Paddle recommendations" page. If this is really not in your budget, do not let this hold you back...we have equipment available to use during class time, but you will not be able to take it home to practice with.
A water bottle is a must. Please make sure that your water bottle is labelled with your name. There is no food or drink allowed on the courts.
Please wear athletic apparel and tennis shoes. No street shoes are allowed on the courts. You may want to wear layers like sweat pants or a hoodie in case you are playing on the outside court. Everyone will be rotating inside and outside. Hats and sunglasses are also appropriate for the outside court in the fall.
Lost items will be placed in the lost and found box underneath the table in the inside court and can be looked for at the following lesson.
Courts are reserved on the hour, so it is important that parents are prompt so that we can start lessons on time.
Parents are to park on the street in front of the courts with kids waiting in the car at five to the hour. As soon as the previous reservation leaves and you get a signal from the instructor, all students can come inside and the lesson will begin. Parents are again to park on the street for pickup at ten to the hour for pickup. Students will be sent out in time for the next class to start.
Please do not pull into driveway. Court address in Farmington will be emailed out to parents after registration.

ABOUT ME
MY PICKLEBALL JOURNEY
I have been playing pickleball for almost four years. I started playing for health reasons and found that playing almost every day helps my body feel so good. I am now truly addicted.
I started as a brand-new beginner at the 2.5 level and had to learn all the rules. I joined a league in my city and then a tournament where I came in last place and didn’t win a single game. I continued progressing through leagues and kept playing tournaments until I got better and better.
I have been able to progress and win many titles along the way. I now play at 4.5 or 5.0 level. I have won Regional Medals and played twice at the National Championships at Indian Wells, California.
My son and I are sponsored by HEAD, and my daughter is sponsored by Selkirk.

MY VISION
- I have coached three of my children who also love to play in tournaments. Last summer, my children each won three medals at the AAU Jr Olympic Games in Houston, Texas, and this summer, they won ten more medals at this year's Jr. Olympics. I also coached the local High School team this past summer for the first annual prep tournament in Utah.
- Pickleball is such a social sport and I have made hundreds of friends along the way. My goal is to give homeschooled children an opportunity to gather together, play and have as much fun as I do!
- I have homeschooled my 7 children for the last 11 years. By partnering with Leadership Academy of Utah, Harmony, and MyTechHigh, homeschoolers can choose to get High School P.E. credit for taking this course. Funding is available. See Payment Options for more details.
